Recovery straps covered in mud, gloves, shackles, tools, wet clothing, fuel accessories or cooking equipment all have one thing in common: they deserve their own dedicated storage space.
Designed specifically for the Land Rover Defender 110, the Side Locker provides quick external access to your equipment without compromising the organisation of your load area.
Built from heavy-duty stainless steel, the locker is engineered to withstand harsh environments while protecting its contents from water, dust and mud. The compression lock keeps the door securely closed, eliminating rattles even on rough terrain.
The door opens downward, creating a practical shelf that can also be used as a small work surface while preparing recovery equipment, organising tools or making a quick coffee during a stop.
Designed and manufactured entirely in Italy, the MG Side Locker is built for those who expect every available space on their Defender to serve a purpose.
Installation requires cutting an opening into the vehicle's body panel.
Once the opening has been prepared, installation is straightforward using the supplied mounting hardware.
For maximum structural rigidity, we recommend installing an internal 40 × 80 mm stainless steel rectangular tube, 1,530 mm in length, secured to the vehicle's chassis mounting points. This reinforcement significantly increases the overall stability of the Side Locker by distributing loads across the structure, making it especially beneficial for vehicles used in demanding off-road conditions.
The stainless steel tube is a standard profile that can be sourced from most local steel suppliers. Upon request, we can also supply it together with the Side Locker. During installation, the tube will need to be drilled to match the chassis mounting points.
If you are not familiar with bodywork modifications, professional installation is recommended.
