Designed and built in the Italian Apennines. 4 mm steel, integrated licence plate mount and full compatibility with the factory tail lights: an essential rear bumper, built to take an impact and to fit without a single modification to the body.
The MG Off Road rear bumper for the Suzuki Samurai comes from a simple principle: the rear end is the first part of the vehicle to take a hit off-road, and it should be built accordingly.
The structure is made from 4 mm S235JR steel, sized to absorb heavy impacts and to protect the rear end during tight manoeuvres, on ledges and in the technical sections where the back of the vehicle works against the terrain.
A heavy bumper mounted too rigidly transfers the full energy of an impact straight into the chassis. On a 4x4, that is the most expensive mistake you can make.
The brackets on this bumper are designed to work as a sacrificial element: in a heavy impact they are the part that yields and deforms, absorbing the energy and preserving the integrity of the chassis. A bracket is replaced in a few hours. A bent chassis is not.
The integrated licence plate mount is formed directly into the structure, keeping the plate protected and aligned with the bumper profile. The geometry is designed to accept the factory tail lights, with no adapting, repositioning or wiring modifications.
The bumper bolts to the chassis, and a body lift does not move the chassis: once the body is raised, the bumper stays at its original height and alignment with the rear panel, the tail lights and the plate is lost.
That is why the bumper is available in three bracket configurations: stock ride height, +25 mm body lift and +50 mm body lift. Each version is dimensioned to bring the bumper back to the correct height relative to the raised body, keeping the alignment clean and the tail lights correctly positioned — no improvised spacers, no workshop adaptations.
Installation uses the included brackets and hardware and requires no welding or bodywork: the fit is direct and fully reversible.
